The Saudi Energy Efficiency Center explained that the fuel economy card aims to familiarize the consumer with the fuel economy (energy efficiency) in cars, and help him choose a car with high fuel economy.

The Saudi Center indicated that the fuel economy card for cars is divided into seven levels, the highest of which is “Excellent Plus” and defined in the dark green color, and the lowest is very bad and defined in the color red.

He added that there is a saving in the amount of fuel consumption for each level (color) of the seven levels in the fuel economy card, and that this percentage ranges between 4.5% and 5.5%.

The center indicated that the consumer can verify the accuracy of the energy efficiency cards data through the “Verify” application on smart devices, and he can also get acquainted with all the information and guiding tips to rationalize consumption through the “To remain” website (taqa.gov.sa).

It is worth noting that the “fuel economy card for cars” is mandatory for all light cars of 2015 models and above, whose total weight is less than 3,500 kilograms.
